answer for the following question are:

  1. 2NF as Property_id is CK, and Type is neither a super key nor Tdescription is a prime attribute.
  2. 1NF as partial dependency is there.
  3. 1NF as partial dependency is there.
  4. BCNF as only 1 functional dependency is there:
    Course#, Student# -> CourseName, StudentName, Grade, Major)
  5. BCNF as only 1 functional dependency is there:
    Order# -> Date, Clerk#, ClerkName)
  6. StudentID -> Name, Address, Major, Minor
    StudentID ->  Major
    StudentID ->  Minor
    BCNF
  7. StudentID -> Name, Address, {Major}, {Minor}
    StudentID  Major -> Name, Address
    StudentID  Minor -> Name, Address
    1NF since Partial dependency is there
  8. OwnerSSN -> Name, Address, City, State, Zip
    PropertyID, OwnerSSN -> PctOwned
    PropertyID ->  Address, City, State, Zip, Description, Price, OfficeNbr
    1NF since Partial dependency is there.
  9. PC#, EmpID ->  AccessType, AccessDescription
    BCNF
